Kenneth Neal Tidwell, age 72, resident of Moscow and husband of Suzanne “Suzie” Ruddy Tidwell, departed this life Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Tidwell was conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville with Father Stephen Kenny, pastor of the church, officiating. Graveside Services were at 11 A.M. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Pontiac, Illinois. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Tidwell was born August 22, 1943 in Selmer, Tennessee. He received his education in the McNairy County Public School System and was married October 3, 1970 to the former Suzanne “Suzie” Ruddy. He attended St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville and was employed as a welder for many years. Mr. Tidwell enjoyed restoring and working on old tractors and traveling. He will be remembered for having a soft heart to his family and friends.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by his wife of 46 years, Suzanne “Suzie” Ruddy Tidwell of Moscow; two brothers, Larry Tidwell of Joliet, Illinois, David Tidwell of Selmer, Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hurley Tidwell and Margaret Palmer Tidwell; his sister, Birdie Sue Wood; and his brother, James Tidwell.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 11710 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.
