Agnes McCarley Minor, longtime resident of the Somerville Community and wife of the late T.W. (Waymon) Minor departed this life Tuesday morning, January 1, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was 84 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Minor will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with visitation from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Thursday at Peebles. Interment will be in the Somerville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Minor was born April 21, 1928 in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay McCarley and Louise Atkeison McCarley. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a 1946 graduate of Fayette County High School.
She was married to T.W. (Waymon) Minor, who preceded her in death on January 4, 1998. Agnes loved her family and she was greatly loved by them in return.
Mrs. Minor is survived by her daughter, Teri J. Minor of Memphis; her son, Thomas M. Minor (Katrina) of Rossville; her grandson, John T. Minor (Jennifer) of Somerville, and her great grandson, Bradley T. Minor.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers will be Jeff Myers, John David Douglas, David L. Douglas, Robert Bland, Jay Kemper and Dave Fowler.
