He received his education at the Homelife Academy and was a former resident of Collierville and Somerville. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis. Alex was an amazing friend to all and an incredible person with the most caring heart. He was such a free spirit and his smile brightened everyone's day. He was "the great outdoorsman" and enjoyed wakeboarding, snowboarding and teaching snowboarding lessons, hiking, hunting, fishing and ATV riding. He took every step of life with a smile on his face and never met a stranger. Alex always looked for the best in everyone he met and he loved unconditionally.

In addition to his mother, Alex is survived by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth H. Garrison of Moscow; his stepsister, Carol Kelman of Memphis; two stepbrothers, Adam Kelman of Chattanooga, Clark Kelman of Memphis; his godparents, Sandra Sparkman of Williston, Dennis Hodges of Little Rock, AR; his stepfather, David Kelman; and his doggie children, Memphis, Avery, Sy and Pinto.

Honorary casketbearers were Scott Rhodes, Brandon Rhodes and Houston Wickham.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066.

Alexander loved his family and friends and he will live on forever with the memories he shares with us all.
