Amy Christine Becker Rudd, age 44, resident of Eads and wife of Sam Rudd, departed this life unexpectedly at her home on Thursday morning, December 11, 2014 .
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Rudd were conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 16th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Father Stephen Kenny, pastor of the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Born June 15, 1970, in Canoga Park, California, to Thomas and Roxana Becker, she was raised in Fullerton with three younger sisters and attended St. Angela Merici Elementary and Rosary High School. She kept in close contact with her friends from childhood, and she will be especially remembered for her beautiful smile, quick wit, generous heart, and her strong presence in the face of persecution.
After high school, her spirit of adventure brought her to Memphis, where she met and married her soulmate, Sam Rudd, on December 23, 1990. Though she remained a California girl at heart, she settled in Eads.
Amy was an extreme champion for and most passionate about her husband, Sam, and 3 children, Amber, 24, Summer, 19, and Spencer, 12. She was an impeccable woman who loved being around family and friends, and enjoyed designing, shopping, hunting down a good bargain.
There is no possible way to put this woman’s life into words. All that can be said is that when she was a part of someone’s life, it almost seemed to be their life. Her personality bared an endless abyss of sarcasm and humor that was equal to or rather exceed her passion and love for family and friends. She did all anyone could in life by making an impact on every life that she so gently touched with her own. She, Amy Becker Rudd, was a magnificent person.
Mrs. Rudd is survived by husband, Sam Rudd, her 3 children, Amber, Summer, and Spencer, her mother, Roxana Becker of Fullerton, California, and her 3 sisters, Lauri Becker Kalinowski of Vacaville, California, Kathryn Becker of Fullerton, California, and Korye Becker Parra of Raeford, North Carolina.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Wayne Ellis, Jeremy Schope, Art Parra, Cooper Merhaut, Bruce Barney and Bill Brinson.
Honorary casketbearers were Mona Tate, Kevin Kelinowski, Christie Rarick, Jori Sissken, Barbie Cherrison, Colleen Burns, Carolyn Faber, Carissa Moore, Burke Towle and everyone else that Amy's life touched.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Fayette Cares , P.O. Box 806, Somerville, TN 38068.
