Andrea Saigeon Tankersley, age 44, resident of Bolivar, Tennessee and wife of Russell Tankersley, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, July 4, 2017 at Bolivar General Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Tankersley was conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church in Cordova with Pastor Richard Hipps officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Tankersley was born September 28, 1972 in El Paso, Texas. She moved with her family at an early age and was a graduate of Overton High School in Memphis. She was married August 18, 1991 to Russell Tankersley and she was employed as a police radio dispatcher for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department. Mrs. Tankersley enjoyed painting, cooking, boating and photography. She will be remembered for taking care of her family, her police family and friends and animals.
Mrs. Tankersley is survived by her husband, Russell Tankersley of Bolivar, TN; two sons, Johnathan Andrew Tankersley of Memphis, TN, Christopher Matthew Tankersley (Alicia) of Jacksonville, NC; her father, Andrew Wallace Saigeon of Memphis, TN; her sister, Cortney Blumer (Eric) of Collierville, TN, her brother, Skip Saigeon (Cecelia) of Atoka, TN; her mother-in-law, Wendy Tankersley; her sister-in-law, Casey Tankersley; her brother-in-law, Matthew Blumer; and her grandson, Marcello Tankersley.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hannah Wilson Saigeon.
