ANNETTE WEAVER SNOW, a resident of the Oakland Community and wife of the late Marion Snow died Thursday morning, December 31, 2009 at her residence. She was 69 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mrs. Snow were conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, January 1st at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Loyd Shelton of Rossville, officiating. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community of Fayette County. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Snow was born April 14, 1940 in Wilson, Arkansas the daughter of the late Frank Weaver and Elmer Lee Harvell Weaver.
She was educated in the Arkansas Public School System and moved with her parents to Fayette County as a young person.
She was married August 20, 1956 to Marion Snow of Fayette County who preceded her in death on May 5, 1994.
She was a homemaker throughout much of her life and was a Christian. A family oriented person, Mrs. Snow served as the matriarch of her family by being the oldest of nine children. She was a caregiver to others for a number of years and enjoyed animals.
Mrs. Snow had been a resident of the Oakland Community since 1967.
Survivors of Mrs. Snow include her daughter, Sherry Jo Perry of Oakland; her son, Marion F. Snow of Cordova; her sister, Joann Weaver of Bolivar; two brothers, Richard White of Gallaway and Larry Weaver of Oakland; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Thomas Franklin Thompson, Tony Lee Weaver, Johnny Weaver, Jr., James Edward Thompson, Danny Lee Weaver and Willie B. "Bubba" Johnson.
