Annie Vonice (Bolden) Pittman
December 29, 1932 — August 17, 2015
Annie Vonice Bolden Pittman, age 82, resident of Pinson, Tennessee, former resident of the Somerville Community and wife of the late Murphy C. "Jack" Pittman, departed this life Monday morning, August 17, 2015 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Pittman were conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Church of God at 739 Old Pinson Road in Jackson with Bro. James McKinnie, Jr. and Bro. Chuck Stems officiating. Interment followed in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Pittman was born December 29, 1932 in Williston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Bolden and Linnie Cleveland Spicer Bolden. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of West Tennessee. Mrs. Pittman was married June 3, 1950 to Murphy C. “Jack” Pittman, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2005. She was a devoted member of the Church of God in Pinson and had a special love for her family. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was previously employed with Precision Tool, Bemis Cotton Mill and Jarvis in Bolivar before her retirement.
Mrs. Pittman leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Linda White (Ricky) of Jackson, TN, Lisa Cox (Bill) of Pinson, TN; two sons, Wayne Pittman (Belinda) of Jackson, TN, Charles Pittman (Martha) of Jackson, TN; her sister, Theola Hanson of Mississippi; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren and nine great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Pittman; her grandson, Jeremy Pittman; two sisters and four brothers.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Richie White, Brad White, Nick Pittman, Scott Mills, Bobby Lenard and Louis Jordan.
