Aubrey Richard Glover, age 77, resident of Southaven, Mississippi and husband of Rachel R. Glover, departed this life Monday morning, March 28, 2016 at the Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Glover were conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Wayne Webb, pastor of the Macon Road Baptist Church in Arlington, officiating. A Private Interment was in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Glover was born March 21, 1939 in Somerville. He was a graduate of Fayette County High School and was married to the former Rachel R. Reynolds. He was employed as a pressman for Bruce Carton Company in Memphis and also as a stocker at Wal-Mart in Cordova before his retirement. Mr. Glover was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing solitaire.
Mr. Glover is survived by his wife, Rachel R. Glover of Southaven, Mississippi; two sons, Steven Glover (Diana) of Munford, Mike Glover (Pam) of Southaven, Mississippi; two brothers, Thomas Glover (Judy) of Finger, Tennessee, John Glover of Somerville; four grandchildren, Christy Johnson (Jason), Kimberly Glover, Brandon Green, Joseph Green; and two great grandchildren, Dylan Johnson and Riley Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Allen Glover and Hazel Bernice Doyle Glover and his daughter, Heather Green.
Pallbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
