Audia Lee Rose Meyers Day, age 88, resident of Waterford, Mississippi and wife of the late Charles Wesley Day, departed this life Sunday evening, June 12, 2022 at her home.
Audia was born August 23, 1933 in Madisonville, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Meyers and Lilly Wagner Meyers. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Williston Baptist Church. Audia enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, baking and crocheting. She would put everything into anything she did and she loved hosting parties and weddings. Audia loved the Lord and wore a “coat of many colors”.
Known to many as “MawMaw”, Mrs. Day is survived by two sons, Charles E. Day (Peggy) and John P. Day (Sue); her sister, Barbara; her brother, Melvin Meyers; five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and her best friends, Henry and Judy Cooper and Linda Byars. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Day; two sons, Keith Day and Gary Day; her sister, Mickey; and two brothers, Franklin and Charles.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Day were held at 11 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Williston with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee, officiating.
