Avery Wade Long

Avery Wade Long, age 13, resident of Somerville, Tennessee departed this life  Thursday October 20, 2022. He was an 8th grade student at East Jr. High School.

Avery was born May 22, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, son of Krystle Leigh Easton Long and the late Julian Wade Long. Avery was quiet but so full of life and loved by everyone that had the honor of knowing him. He had many hobbies that kept him busy but fishing with his dad and sisters was his favorite. Riding his dirt bike, hunting, and tinkering with everything are just a few of the hobbies he enjoyed.

Avery was incredibly knowledgeable at 13 years old. He was a deep thinker with great ideas and took pride in his accomplishments. His sisters, Abby and Maddie, had the most special bond with their little brother that they will cherish forever. Avery was surrounded by so much love from our family and he is going to be deeply missed and always remembered for the amazing young man that he was.

Avery is survived by his mother, Krystle Long; sisters, Abigail and Maddie Long; grandparents, Dinah and David Moore and Lois Long; great-grandmother, Hazel Poff; aunt, Kellie Easton; and uncle, Joshua Long. He was preceded in death by his father, Julian Long; grandfather, Ronnie Long; and aunt, Ashley Moore.

Funeral Services for Avery were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Tony Watkins officiating. Interment followed in Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Joshua Long, Robert Steward, Donald Johnson, David Fine, Brandon Williams and Chris Glover.
