Barbara Ann (White) Hardee

Barbara Ann White Hardee, age 76, resident of Millington and wife of Thurman “Tim” Hardee, peacefully departed this life Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2016 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Hardee were conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Bill Hendry of Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Arlington. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Hardee was born May 2, 1940 in Keeling, Tennessee in Haywood County. She was a graduate of Bolton High School in Arlington and was married June 3, 1959 to Thurman “Tim” Hardee. She was a resident of Arlington for 32 years before moving to Millington 21 years ago. Mrs. Hardee was of the Methodist faith and was employed in the sales industry for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed preparing food, clipping recipes, traveling to Heber Springs, Arkansas and taking care of her dogs, Heidi, Sassy, Boo and Chance and her cat, Cricket.

Mrs. Hardee is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thurman “Tim” Hardee of Millington; her daughter, Shelley Hardee of Millington; her sister, Betty Jean Sharpe (John) of Horn Lake, MS; and two brothers, Ken White (Mamie) of Arlington, TN, Terry White of Horn Lake, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. White and Johnnie Beatrice Whitehorn White.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Dustin Flynn, Larry Flynn, Sr., Matthew Wood, Larry Wayne Flynn, Jr., Robert Glenn Hardee and Steve Holden.
