Barbara Keen

Barbara Alice Mansfield Keen, age 88, resident of Wynne, Arkansas and wife of the late Bobby Ray Keen, departed this life Sunday morning, March 31, 2024 at Crestpark of Wynne.

Barbara was born July 7, 1935 and grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas. She was married September 6, 1953 to Bobby Ray Keen who preceded her in death in 2014. Barbara was employed as a telephone operator and office manager for 20 years before her retirement in 2014. She was most recently a resident of Wynne, Arkansas. Mrs. Keen was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed going to Memphis Sport Shooting and Gun Range, Shelby County Gun Range and shopping for shoes.

Mrs. Keen is survived by her two daughters, Carrie Ann Post and Patricia “Cricket” Kiefer; her brother, Jim Smothers; and nine grandchildren, Tiffany Ann Morris, Amber Michelle Metcalf, Barbara Jackson (Skyler), Dana Dearmore Cotter, Chantel McGrew, Rusty Hall, Aaron Post, Robert “Robbie” Post and Dean Post. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Edward Smothers.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Keen were held at 7 P.M. Friday, April 5, 2024 at Oakland First Baptist Church with Josh Escue officiating.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
