Barbara Ann Marie (Muscarella) Pruitt

Barbara Ann Marie Muscarella Pruitt, age 74, resident of Swansea, South Carolina, former resident of the Oakland Community and wife of the late Bert T. Pruitt, departed this life Sunday morning, September 15, 2014 at the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Pruitt will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, September 19th at the Sunset Chapel in Elmlawn Cemetery in Kenmore, New York with visitation one hour before services. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Pruitt was born May 21, 1940 in Buffalo, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Muscarella and Betty Marie Vaccara Muscarella. She received her education in the New York Public School System and was married April 24, 1971 to Bert Theo Pruitt, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2004.

Mrs. Pruitt was a resident of the Oakland Community for a number of years before moving to Swansea, South Carolina to be close to her family. She was of the Catholic faith and a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed special times with her family and friends.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her son, Doug Watts (Lynne) of Swansea, South Carolina; and three sisters, Shirley Zigler (Tom) of East Aurora, New York, Carol Manning (Terry) of Grand Island, New York and Marsha Sambora of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
