Rebecca Elaine "Becki" Evans, age 58, resident of the Arlington Community and United States Navy Veteran died at her residence on Sunday, September 2, 2012.
A Public Visitation for Ms. Evans will be from 2 to 3 Saturday afternoon at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. There will be a family visitation from 1 until 2 Saturday afternoon at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland for a time of remembrance and recollection.
Ms. Evans was born August 15, 1954 in Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of Sylvia Painter Dill and the late William Dill. She received her education in the Bowling Green, Ohio Public School System and was a resident of Ohio and Rhode Island for much of her life before moving to the Arlington Community three years ago.
Ms. Evans was a homemaker and in earlier years served her country in the United States Navy. She was devoted to her grandchildren and her interests included arts, crafts and reading.
Ms. Evans is survived by her daughter, Emily Mitchell (Barry) of Arlington; three sons, Kelly Evans (Niki) of Arlington, Joseph Evans (Amy) of Bartlett, Noah Maraziti of Middletown, RI; her mother, Sylvia Dill of Bowling Green, OH; two sisters, Susan Spreen, Janet Kleman; her brother, Jeff Dill; and six grandchildren, Brady Evans, Delaney Evans, Ashlyn Mitchell, Evan Mitchell, Brooklyn Evans and Graham Evans.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
