Bennie Mae (Temples) Rogers

Bennie Mae Temples Rogers, age 94, resident of the Mason Community and wife of the late Marvin Harvey Rogers, Sr., departed this life Tuesday morning, September 20, 2016 at Covington Care in Covington, Tennessee.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Rogers were conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Shane Porter officiating. Interment followed in the Belmont Cemetery near Mason. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Rogers was born September 2, 1922 in Phenix City, Alabama. She received her education in the Russell County, Alabama Public School System and was married December 25, 1941 to Marvin Harvey Rogers, Sr. She was a resident of Fayette County for 50 years and attended the former Belmont Methodist Church. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed shopping, canning foods and embroidery.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by two daughters, Jane Rogers Gaschen (Larry) of Germantown, TN, Rita Rogers Meek Ferrell of Brighton, TN; two sons, Marvin Harvey Rogers, Jr. (Judy) of Mason, TN, Ronald Robert Rogers, Sr. (Marianne) of Bartlett, TN; two sisters, Mable Primm of Lisbon, OH, Martha Caldwell of Columbus, GA; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was prededed in death by her husband, Marvin Harvey Rogers, Sr.; her parents, Sanford Temples and Adele Hall Temples; her son, Sanford Alexander Rogers; her son-in-law, Mike Ferrell; four sisters and one brother.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Justin Rice, Mike Lovell, Lee Meek, Bob McIntyre, Larry Gaschen and Tyler Lovell.
