Betty Jean Lee Webb, age 77, resident of Como, Mississippi and native of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Monday evening, May 29, 2017 at Regional One Health in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Ms. Webb were conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Bill Hendry of Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Ms. Webb was born June 4, 1939 in Somerville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. Lee and Reba Estelle Russell Lee. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was employed as a seamstress at Window Scenes before her retirement. Ms. Webb was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, baking, listening to George Jones, gardening, sitting on the porch swing and feeding and watching hummingbirds. She had a special love for her cats.
Ms. Webb is survived by her daughter, Reba Michelle Chron (Allen) of Hernando, MS; three sisters, Milli Taylor (Ricki) of Somerville, TN, Dean Wharton (Eddie) of Oakland, TN, Vicki Parks (Donnie) of Somerville, TN; two brothers, Max Lee (Peggy) of Somerville, TN, Roger Lee of Como, MS; three granddaughters, Amanda Chron, Amber Chron, Allison Chron; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Chron, Aleeyah Pugh and Cayson Manues.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Nell Rogers and her brother, Howard Wayne Lee.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Donnie Parks, Eddie Wharton, Tim Rogers, Christopher Rogers, Jerry Rogers, Jr. and Quentin Savage.
