Bill Hartmann

William Anthony "Bill" Hartmann, age 69, resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, retired plumber and husband of Linda Martha Hartmann died Monday morning, October 8, 2012 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Services for Mr. Hartmann will be at a later date at the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mr. Hartmann was born August 22, 1943 in Flushing, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Nicholas Hartmann and Ruth Loretto Caperel Hartmann. He received his education in the Bayside High School and continued his education at the Queensboro Community College. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Period.

Mr. Hartmann was a self-employed licensed plumber for 50 years before his retirement in 1997. He married the former Linda Martha Masino on October 13, 1977, who survives. A Catholic, Mr. Hartmann enjoyed riding his motorcycle, building, collecting, traveling, his motorhome and special times with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of almost 35 years, Mr. Hartmann is survived by two sons, William Anthony Hartmann, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Francis Anthony Zaman of Oceanside, NY; his sister, Patricia Stein of Bradenton, FL; two brothers, Thomas Hartmann of Silver Spring, MD, Edwin Hartmann of Bullhead City, AZ; and two grandchildren.
