Billy Dean Jones

Billy Dean Jones, age 69, resident of Moscow, Tennessee, husband of the late Gladys Jones, whom he married in 1987, departed this life Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the National Health Care Center in Somerville, Tennessee.

Billy was born September 21, 1955 at John Gaston Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, the youngest of fifteen children. He attended many schools in his lifetime, the last being Middleton High School. He worked at Kroger as a stocker. He also pastored a couple of churches in his lifetime and loved Gospel Music and the Lord.

Mr. Jones was a member of the Piperton Pentecostal Church. He loved the Saint Louis Cardinals Baseball, Memphis Tiger Basketball, the Memphis Grizzlies, and watching game shows on television.

Mr. Jones leaves behind his son, Donald Jones; his stepson, Anthony Perkey; two grandsons, Matthew Jones and Dalton Jones; three sisters, Bertha Lou Moore (H. L.) of Batesville, MS, Beverly Jo Moore of Batesville, MS and Mary Frances Bizzell (Robert) of Middleton, TN; his brother, Howard Jones (Gladys) of Walnut, MS; and his special friend, Vicki Ferguson.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, who preceded him in death in 2011; his parents, Lois and Inez Jones; six brothers, William Earl, Dennis Carl, James, Jr., Jimmy, Herman, and John; and four sisters, Dorothy Jean, Shirley Ann, Cynthia Carol, and Margaret Kathryn.

A visitation for Mr. Jones will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Howard Jones officiating. He will be assisted by Bro. Billy Patton and Bro. Gary Porterfield. Interment will follow in Somerville City Cemetery.
