Billy Mac Reeves
July 21, 1964 — January 7, 2015
Billy Mac Reeves, age 50, resident of the Somerville Community, son of Peggy Reeves, brother of Laurel Garrett (Art) and Bro. David Reeves (Terri), departed this life Wednesday evening, January 7, 2015 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Reeves were conducted at 3 P.M. Sunday, January 11th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. He was assisted by Mr. Reeves' nephew, Bro. Reeves Garrett. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Reeves was born July 21, 1964 in Somerville, the son of Peggy Parker Reeves and the late A.W. “Bubba” Reeves. He received his education at Fayette Academy in Somerville and the University of Memphis. He was a Christian under the watchcare of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee. He enjoyed football, basketball, baseball, music and mechanical work. He was a lifelong resident of the Somerville Community and was the owner of Billy Reeves Trucking .
Mr. Reeves is survived by his mother, Peggy Parker Reeves of Somerville; his sister, Laurel Garrett (Art) of Brownsville, TN; his brother, David Reeves (Terri) of Somerville; two nieces, Samantha and Emily Reeves; and three nephews, Reeves and Elliot Garrett and Luke Reeves.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Mark Diffee, Alan German, Billy Joe Hardin, Doug Kennon, Rodney Kennon, Chris Morris, Chris Parker, Brad Pulliam, Richard Rose & Jerry Russell.
Honorary casketbearers were Reeves Garrett, Elliot Garrett, Luke Reeves, Tim Dowdy, David Fowler, Jr., Curtis Hardin, Parrish Hines, David Kelley, Tommy Kelley, Jr., Raymond Kelley, Jr., Ronnie Logan & Steve Thomas.
