Birdie Mae (Rorie) Taylor

Birdie Mae Rorie Taylor, age 85, resident of Somerville and wife of the late Tommy Taylor, departed this life Thursday afternoon, August 9, 2018 at her residence.

Services and interment for Mrs. Taylor were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Taylor was born January 18, 1933 in Ingomar, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Loyd Rorie and Velma O. Cobb Rorie. She was employed as a workman's compensation specialist for a number of years before her retirement. She was married March 19, 1970 to Tommy Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was of the Baptist faith and was a resident of Somerville for 21 years.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son, Michael D. "Mike" Hensley of Boise, Idaho.
