Bob Borgmier

Robert Lee "Bob" Borgmier, age 87, resident of the Arlington Community and husband of the late Grace L. Anderson Borgmier, departed this life Saturday afternoon, January 17, 2015 at the Gallaway HealthCare Center.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Borgmier was conducted at 7 P.M. Friday, January 30th at the Arlington United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Stewart, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was in the Kidder Cemetery in Kidder, Missouri. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Borgmier was born February 5, 1927 in East Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Borgmier and Grace Anderson Borgmier. He received his education in the North Kansas City, Missouri School System and was married October 29, 1945 to the former Grace L. Anderson. Mrs. Borgmier preceded him in death in January 1998.

Mr. Borgmier had been a resident of the Arlington Community and was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. He was a hard-working Missouri farmer and world-class professional square dance caller. Mr. and Mrs. Borgmier traveled the country to attend National Square Dance Conventions and settled in South Texas as snow birds for many winters.

Mr. Borgmier is survived by two sons, Stephen Borgmier (Dianna) of Arlington, Scott Borgmier (Krista) of Eads; six grandchildren, Angie Smith (Michael), Adina Wiseman (Russell), Amber Sayle (Robert), Brian Borgmier, Brandon Borgmier, Megan Borgmier; and seven great grandchildren, Avery, Hayes, Richie, Colby, Stephen, Parker and Owen.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Borgmier; his brothers, Harry Borgmier, George Edward Borgmier; and his sister, Ruth Borgmier.
