Bobbie Sue Bell Butler, resident of the Williston Community and wife of William Butler, departed this life Wednesday evening, September 3, 2014 at her residence. She was 72 years of age.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Butler were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, September 5th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Steve Butler of Memphis, officiating. Interment followed in the New Albany City Cemetery in New Albany, Mississippi. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel in Somerville.
Mrs. Butler was born December 23, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Bell and Peggy Gregory Bell. She received her education in the Memphis City Public School System and was married in September of 1964 to William Butler, who survives. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker throughout her life. She was a resident of the Williston Community for six months and enjoyed gardening, yard sales, cooking, reading and her pet cats.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, Mrs. Butler is survived by two sisters, Ann Presley of Nashville, Margie Norton of Southaven, MS; and two brothers, Bubba Sprauge of Southaven, MS and Don Bell of Memphis.
In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Henry Butler, Jr.
Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
