Bobby Gene Fowler, Sr.

Bobby Gene Fowler, Sr., age 80, resident of Somerville, U.S. Air Force Veteran and husband of Carolyn Fowler, departed this life Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Memorial Services with Military Honors for Mr. Fowler were conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Pollard Chapel of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Fowler was born November 17, 1934 in Clifton, Tennessee. He graduated in 1952 from Frank Hughes High School and was a truck driver for many years. Mr. Fowler married Carolyn Thompson on September 9, 1961 was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He was a humorous person who enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was an avid reader and enjoyed reading his Bible. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lige Walker Fowler and Carrie Willie Thompson Fowler.

In additional to his wife, Carolyn Thompson Fowler, Mr. Fowler is survived by one daughter, Teresa Malito of Liberty, MO; one son, Bobby Gene Fowler, Jr. (Karen) of Somerville; two sisters, Marion Davis of Clifton, TN and Betty Spoerl of Milwalkee, WI; three grandchildren, Justin Skinner, Brandon Malito and Ali Malito and two great grandchildren, Levi Skinner and Alaina Grace Custer.
