Brenda Star (Shelton) Hubbard

Brenda Star Shelton Hubbard, age 71, resident of Collierville and wife of Larry Wayne Hubbard, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, May 9, 2018 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hubbard were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Bro. Thomas Foy officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Hubbard was born December 18, 1946 in Greeneville, Tennessee. She moved with her family to the Shelby County area and received her education at Germantown High School. She was married May 18, 1963 to Larry Wayne Hubbard and was a homemaker throughout her life. Mrs. Hubbard was of the Church of Christ faith and enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts.

Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Wayne Hubbard of Collierville, TN; her daughter, Sherri Ellegaard (James) of Seattle, WA; four sons, William Hubbard (Pam) of Munford, TN, Michael Hubbard (Pamela) of Horn Lake, MS Jeffrey Hubbard of Byhalia, MS, James Hubbard (Angie) of Collierville, TN; her sister, Linda Townsend of Collierville, TN; two brothers, Carol Shelton (Doris) of Arlington, TN, Steve Shelton (Betty) of Collierville, TN; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larson E. Shelton and Ethel L. Fellers Shelton and her brother, William Shelton.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Wesley Hubbard, Will Hubbard, Stone Hubbard, Bradley Hubbard, Brett Hubbard and Austin Carpenter.
