Brian Jeffery Cofer

Brian Jeffery Cofer, age 36, resident of Bartlett, Tennessee, departed this life Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Brian was born November 30, 1986 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Brenda McMahan Cofer and the late William J. “Pedie” Cofer. He graduated from Collierville High School and was a decorated police officer for the City of Memphis for twelve years.

Brian is survived by his mother, Brenda McMahan Cofer; two sisters, Angie Watson (Jason) and Amy Yopp (Josh); his brother, Adam Cofer (Shelby); his grandmother, Bonnie Lawson Cofer Burnette; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Jenelle McMahan, John William Cofer and Billy Joe Burnette.

Funeral Services for Brian were held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Hickory Withe Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Moore officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Michael Pittman, Frank Chambers, Bubba Jacobs, Gabe Davis, Chance Hall and Ryan Mendoza.
