Brian David Cotter, resident of Noblesville, Indiana, Architectural Engineer with family members in Fayette County died Monday, July 11, 2011. He was 54 years of age and died after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Cotter were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, July 15 th at the Graveside with Rev. Loyd Shelton of Rossville, officiating. Interment followed in the Walls Cemetery at Braden, TN. Arrangements were provided by the Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes – Main Chapel of Somerville.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Mr. Cotter was born August 1, 1956. He was the son of David Cotter and Mary Covich Cotter, who survive. Mr. Cotter graduated from Penn State University in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering. He was employed at the Simon Property Group for 25 years, where he served as Vice President of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Cotter was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh State University Nittany Lions fan. His hobbies included golfing, cooking for family and friends, and fishing.

Mr. Cotter is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Janet Michael of the Longtown Braden Commuities; two daughters: Lauren (Cotter) Reilly of Memphis, TN and Bre Cotter of Noblesville, IN; his parents: David Cotter and Mary Covich Cotter; brother: Greg Cotter; sisters: Jean Cotter Ciambotti and Shawn Cotter.

Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
