Carl Eugene Freeman

February 19, 1962 — March 13, 2015

Carl Eugene Freeman, age 53, resident of the Somerville Community and retired carpenter, departed this life Friday morning, March 13, 2015 at the Dove HealthCare Center in Collierville.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Freeman were conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, March 16th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. John Ed Watkins, pastor of Mercy Bridge Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Melrose Cemetery at Whiteville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Freeman was born February 19, 1962 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Leroy Freeman and the former Viola Kee. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of Fayette County. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a carpenter for a number of years. Mr. Freeman enjoyed boat riding, going to yard sales, preparing food, barbecuing and special times with his family members and friends.

Mr. Freeman is survived by his daughter, Desiree Freeman of Lexington; two sisters, Carolyn McClure (Roy) of Red Banks, MS, Cynthia Hardin (Curtis) of Williston; and three brothers, Herman Glover of Somerville, David Freeman (Nancy) of Camden and Roy Freeman (Patricia) of Somerville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Glover and Chester Glover.

Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066.
