Carla Beth (Morris) Garcia

Carla Beth Morris Garcia, age 53, resident of Columbia, South Carolina, former resident of Somerville and wife of Richard "Bubba" Garcia departed this life Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 at the Palmetto Health Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Memorial Services for Carla were held at 3 P.M. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by the Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center.
A devoted and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother, Carla was born on February 22, 1963 in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Fayette Academy School and attended Memphis State University. Having a love for children, Carla worked for Little Lambs Day Care at Poplar Heights Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. She also worked in the school food service industry for over 18 years. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, Harley motorcycle riding, and spending time with her family and friends. Carla was never without her bright colored lipsticks.
Carla is survived by her husband, Richard "Bubba" Garcia, her daughter, Rachel Brake (Eric) of Birmingham, AL, her son, Derrick Rose (Beth) of Greenville, SC, her stepson, Ryan Garcia (Amy) of Collierville, TN, her granddaughters, Savannah Beth Brake and Avery Hope Garcia, her grandsons, Wyatt Brake and Mason Garcia, her sister, Dianna Morris Dik (Daniel), her nephew, Matthew Curtis and her niece, Carley Dik.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Libba Morris and her grandson, Weston Lee Brake.
