CAROLYN FAYE KEOUGH BEAVER

January 13, 1935 — March 28, 2009

CAROLYN FAYE KEOUGH BEAVER, longtime resident of the Eads Community and wife of the late Robert Charles (Bob) Beaver died at 8:05 A.M. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She was 74 years of age and died following an illness of several months.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beaver were conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, March 30th at the Bethany Christian Church with Rev. Furniss Harkness, Pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Jack Moore. Personal reflections were given by her son, Chuck Beaver. Interment followed in the Bethany Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.

A lifelong resident of the Eads Community, Mrs. Beaver was born January 13, 1935 and was preceded in death by her parents, W. Frank Keough and Virginia H. Hooker Keough, early residents of the Eads Community. She received her education in the George R. James School at Eads and at the Collierville High School.

She was married December 20, 1957 to Robert Charles (Bob) Beaver, longtime TV and FM Engineer for WKNO Television in Memphis and United States Navy Veteran who preceded her in death April 8, 2007.

Mrs. Beaver was a devoted member of the Bethany Christian Church for many years and participated in numerous church activities that included serving as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a lifelong resident of her community and will be remembered as a family-oriented person who received much enjoyment from her children, grandchildren, friends and community.

A multi-talented person with many interests, she was a loyal friend to many and enjoyed woodworking and serving as a devoted homemaker throughout her life.

Survivors of Mrs. Beaver include her daughter, Amanda Carol Beaver of the Eads Community; two sons, Chuck Beaver (Kathy) of Arlington and Coach for the Fayette Academy in Somerville, David Beaver (JoAnn) of Macon; her sister, Mary Alice Gagliardi of Ringgold, GA; her brother, Bo Keough of Eads and five grandchildren: Billy Beaver, Justin Beaver, Joshua Beaver, Kevin Beaver and Kelly Beaver.

Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Barry Daly, Rick Daly, Dennis Keough, Ben Niemeyer, Ryan Rogalski and Randy Sanderson.
