Maxine “Mac” Bertrand
1936—2011
Carolyn Maxine “Mac” Howell Bertrand, resident of the Moscow Community and wife of Raymond Bertrand died Monday evening, April 18, 2011 at the Methodist LeBonheur Hospital in Germantown where she had been a patient for a day. She was 74 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Bertrand were conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, April 21

at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Brent Wells of Lakewood Baptist Church in Fayette County, officiating. Interment was private and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Bertrand was born June 8, 1936 in Collierville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie T. Howell and Eunice Bell Williams Howell. Mrs. Bertrand was educated in the Collierville Public School System and was later married July 14, 1972 to Raymond Bertrand, Tool and Die Maker for Carrier Corporation in Collierville, who survives.
Mrs. Bertrand was a devoted homemaker throughout her life and was also employed in past years at the Troxel Manufacturing Company in Moscow. She was a family oriented person whose interests included quilting, shopping and food preparation for her family.
In addition to her husband of 38 years, Mrs. Bertrand is survived by her daughters: Janice Bell Bates Simmons (Billy) of Raymond, MS, Kathy Lynn Bates Byrd (Alex) of Moscow; her son: Johnny E. Bertrand (Karen) of Collierville; her grandchildren: Paul Boyd, Jonathan Siler, Chad Freeman, Alex Byrd, Chase Byrd, Taylor Byrd, Stephen Betrand, Daniel Bertrand and Tarah Bertrand and her great-grandchildren: Jordan Boyd, Brett Boyd, Blake Siler and Ava Siler.
