Cecelia Faye (Hardwick) Jordan

May 24, 1949 — February 4, 2018

Cecelia Faye Hardwick Jordan, age 68, resident of Eads, Tennessee and wife of Gary Jordan, departed this life Sunday morning, February 4, 2018 at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

A Gathering of Family Members and Friends of Mrs. Jordan will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Jordan was born May 24, 1949 in Martin, Tennessee. She received her education in the Martin, Tennessee and Jackson, Tennessee areas and was married February 21, 1984 to Gary Steven Jordan. She was employed as a cook for a number of years and was a former resident of the Laconia Community before moving to Eads. Mrs. Jordan enjoyed preparing food and reading.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gary Jordan of Eads, TN; her daughter, Tonya Grimes (Billy) of Arlington, TN; her son, Darryl Bland (Ginger) of Humboldt, TN; five sisters, Carol Callahan (Steve) of Olive Branch, MS, Debra Tucker (Steve) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Kathryn Hall of Bradford, TN, Anita Hardwick of Memphis, TN, Brenda Ward of Gleason, TN; four brothers, Lane Hardwick of Bradford, TN, Chris Hardwick of Humboldt, TN, Raymond Hardwick of Humboldt, TN, Steve Hardwick of Humboldt, TN; her sister-in-law, Terri Hardwick of Jackson, TN; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hardwick and Susan Wilson Hardwick and her brother, Mac Hardwick.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
