Charles Thomas Ennis

Charles Thomas Ennis, age 88, resident of Cordova, Tennessee and husband of Mary Ennis, departed this life Sunday afternoon, January 19, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Charles was born February 20, 1936 in Maryville, Tennessee, the son of the late Thomas Leonard Ennis and Mary Ethel Felkin Ennis. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was married July 22, 1955 to Mary Harveston Ennis. He was the owner of Leaderboard Golf and Memphis Golf, and enjoyed watching golf, NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhardt), the Memphis Grizzlies, University of Tennessee football and fishing. He will be remembered for being a family-oriented person who loved spoiling his grandchildren.

Mr. Ennis is survived by his wife, Mary Ennis; two daughters, Cindy Pace (Mike) and Darlene Zweig (Mitch); nine grandchildren, Mikey Pace (Sara), Michelle Davis (Matthew), Shana Brown, Heather Welborn (Brandon), Jay Hardin (Megan), LeAnn Moore (Brian), Rachel Bohannon (William), Ashley Bruno and Danielle Bruno; and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Terri Hardin and Melinda Bruno (CJ); his sister, Barbara Watring; and his brother, William Ennis.
