CHARLES LEE ROWLAND, JR., a resident of the Moscow Community in Fayette County, Computer Programmer and husband of Louella Wooley
departed this life Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his residence near Moscow. He was 56 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes.
A Service of Remembrance for Mr. Rowland was conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, May 1st at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Loyd Shelton, Baptist Minister of Rossville, officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Rowland was a native of Nashville, TN, and was born July 17, 1953. He was educated in the Pierre, South Dakota School System and received his Bachelor's Degree from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro in 1990.
Mr. Rowland was married May 27, 1977 to Louella Wooley, Office Manager for the Sunshine Corporation, who survives. Mr. Rowland had been employed as a Computer Programmer for the Conwood Company for 20 years. He was a former resident of Denver, CO and Beech Grove, AR and had been a resident of Fayette County for the past 16 years.
He was of the Methodist Faith and his interests
included bowling, traveling, photography and music. He enjoyed animals and playing the Acoustic guitar.
In addition to his wife Mr. Rowland is survived by his parents: Doralyn Jean Maxwell and Frank Maxwell. He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Rowland Coleman who died in 2008.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hardeman County Humane Society.
