Charles C. Vaccaro, resident of the Somerville Community and retired engineer died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at his residence. He was 94 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Vaccaro held at the Graveside on Monday, November 19th. Interment followed in the Sacret Heart Catholic Cemetery at Florissant, Missouri. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Vaccaro was born June 12, 1918 in New York City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Vaccaro and Caroline D’Aleo Vaccaro and his wife, Blanche Vaccaro, who died in 2004. He was educated in the New York Catholic Parochial School System and received both Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Engineering.
Mr. Vaccaro was a Veteran in earlier years. He was an electrical engineer for many years in the chemical industry before his retirement and in recent years moved to the Somerville Community. Mr. Vaccaro was a lifelong Catholic.
Mr. Vaccaro is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Sipes of Somerville and Katherine V. Natali of Indianapolis, Indiana; and three grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 11710 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068 or to any Catholic Charitable Organization of the donor’s choice.
