Charles Anthony "Tony" Farmer

June 26, 1957 — June 22, 2014

Charles Anthony "Tony" Farmer, resident of the Arlington Community, departed this life Sunday morning, June 22, 2014. He was 56 years of age.

Services for Mr. Farmer were conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, June 27th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Ms. Nina Burrows officiating. Interment followed in the Arlington City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Farmer was born June 26, 1957 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Farmer and Ann Townsend Farmer. He attended the Arlington School and was a graduate of Rosemark Academy, class of 1975, where he played varsity basketball. He was employed at Ralston Purina Protein Technologies for a number of years as a boiler operator and later was employed at the Town of Arlington Public Works Department.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his brother, Richard “Ricky” Farmer of Arlington; his sister-in-law, Karen Crenshaw of Arlington; two nephews, Jeremiah Farmer of Washburn, Missouri, Nathan Farmer of New Hampshire; his very special friend, Donna Cox of Covington, Tennessee; and his loyal dog, Jake.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Farmer.

Mr. Farmer's family would like to thank the many medical professionals who cared for Tony, especially Kristy Franks, RN and Julie Kate Webster, DPM.

Pallbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3A, Short Hills, NJ 07078 or to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
