Charles Richard Kee

Charles Richard Kee, age 66, resident of Somerville, died Tuesday morning, August 22, 2017 at his residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Kee were conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Kevin Treadway of Somerville officiating. Special music was provided by Shannon Kee. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Kee was born July 18, 1951 in Somerville, Tennessee. He attended Parks School in Fayette County and was a lifelong resident of the Fayette County area.  He was employed as a heavy machine operator for many years before his retirement in 2007. Mr. Kee was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Mr. Kee is survived by two daughters, Elaine German (Tony) of Williston, TN, April “Nikki” Wilburn of Somerville, TN; his son, Richard Kee (Shannon) of Somerville, TN; his stepdaughter, Bridget Waldrop of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Margaret Whittmore (Gary) of Somerville, TN, Shirley Weaver of Somerville, TN; four brothers, Raymond Kee (Ruth) of Whiteville, TN, Leslie Kee (Cathy) of South Carolina, Mark Kee of Somerville, TN, Mikey Kee (Jennifer) of Somerville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Crystal German (Brandon), Erica Campbell (Tommy), Jessica Kee, Hunter Wilburn (Taylor), Haven Wilburn, Alexis German, Preston Wilburn, Aaron Williams, Brody Kee, Audrey Williams, Brooks Kee; and three great-grandchildren, Cayden Campbell, Ainsley Campbell and Zaydin Wilburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Melvin Kee and Nancy Thompson Kee and his sister, Gail Holley.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were David Cook, Bo Kee, Kenny Kee, Dustin Kee, Rerun Kee and Colby Kee.
