Charlotte Ann (Taylor) Stackley

August 2, 1946 — October 13, 2016

Charlotte Ann Taylor Stackley, age 70, resident of Somerville and wife of Lou Stackley, III, departed this life Thursday morning, October 13, 2016 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Stackley were conducted at 3 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Warren Community Church with Dr. Kenneth Culver, pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Phil Lovelace and personal remarks were given by Alec Stackley. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel in Somerville.

Mrs. Stackley was born August 2, 1946 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She received her education in Florida and Illinois and was a graduate of Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois. She graduated with her associate’s degree as a paralegal from Memphis State University and was married October 2, 1969 to Louis Stackley, III. Mrs. Stackley was a member of the Warren Community Church and a resident of the Fayette County area for 40 years. She enjoyed life, cooking and baking, fishing and loving on her grandchildren.

Mrs. Stackley is survived by her husband of 47 years, Louis Stackley, III of Somerville, TN; two sons, Robert Brimhall of Galva, IL, Lou Stackley IV (Adrian) of Somerville, TN; her sister, Nancy Surtees of Lewisville, TX; her brother, Slater Lee Taylor of Somerville, TN; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. Taylor and Rovenia Marie Jones Taylor.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Louis Stackley, III, Lou Stackley, IV, James Norman Surtees, Joey Janey, Alec Stackley and Matthew Armour. Honorary pallbearers were Lee Falvey, Robert Brimhall, the Warren Community Church Prayer Team and the small group that meets at the Culver residence.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Warren Community Church, 11800 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.

God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day!
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's safe landing net,
and I'm peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be judged
As good enough to keep.
