Christine (Michael) Turner

Christine Michael Turner, age 84, resident of Brighton and wife of the late Wilford H. "Billy" Turner, departed this life Sunday morning, April 3, 2016 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Turner were conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Walls Cemetery in the Braden Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Turner was born June 22, 1931 in Baldwyn, Mississippi. She received her education in the Baldwyn, Mississippi and Ridgely, Tennessee School Systems and was mar ried to Wilford H. "Billy" Turner. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a lifelong resident of the North Mississippi and West Tennessee areas. Mrs. Turner was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atoka, Tennessee and she enjoyed working in her yard, flowers and special times with her family.

Mrs. Turner is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Franks and her husband, David, of Brighton, Denise Evans and her husband, Ray, of Lakeland; four grandchildren, Randy Franks, Robbie Franks and his wife, Brandi, Matthew Wideman, Lauren Wideman; and four great grandchildren, Shawn Franks, Cheyenne Franks, Rowdy Franks and Charlie Franks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford H. "Billy" Turner who died April 13, 1998; her parents, Joseph Michael and Collie Jones Michael; two sisters, Hazel Wells, Allene Jernigan; and three brothers, Howard Michael, Gene Michael and Billy Jo Michael.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Matthew Wideman, Robbie Franks, Shawn Franks, David Franks, Ray Evans and Randy Franks. Honorary pallbearers include Rowdy Franks.
