Christopher "Chris Cross" Lynn Whittemore

Christopher Lynn “Chris Cross” Whittemore, age 42, resident of Gallaway, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, January 5, 2018 at his residence.

Services of Remembrance for Chris will be conducted at 7 P.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Ronnie Grunewald, pastor of Gallaway First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be private. A visitation for Chris will be from 5:30 to 7 P.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Chris was born August 26, 1975 in Fayette County, Tennessee. He received his education at Fayette-Ware High School in Somerville and was employed as a forklift driver. A member of Gallaway First Baptist Church, Chris loved the outdoors, enjoyed watching wrestling and the Andy Griffith Show, fishing, collecting and selling scrap metal, collecting remote controlled monster trucks and playing with his pets.

Chris is survived by his mother, Virginia Carol Watson Whittemore of Gallaway, TN; his father, Bobby Ray Whittemore of Gallaway, TN; his sister, Tina Louise Johnson of Gallaway, TN; and his brother, Bobby Ray Whittemore, Jr. (fiancée, Jennifer Patrick) of Gallaway, TN.
