Claudia Jean Browning, resident of Milan, Tennessee with extended family members throughout Fayette County and West Tennessee departed this life Tuesday morning, July 2, 2013 at the Milan General Hospital. She was 42 years of age and died following an unexpected illness.
Services of Remembrance for Ms. Browning were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 9th at the Graveside with Bro. Fred Campbell of the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Bells, Tennessee officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Cemetery near Brownsville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.
Ms. Browning was born August 18, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Albert Browning and Betty Jean Carter Browning. She moved at an early age to Tennessee with her parents and received her education in the Texas and Crockett County, Tennessee Public School Systems.
Ms. Browning was a Christian and was a devoted homemaker to her children and family. She had been a resident of West Tennessee since 1984 and she will be remembered for her love of reading and outdoor activities. Family times with her grandchildren and preparing food were things that Ms. Browning enjoyed.
Ms. Browning is survived by four daughters, Ashley Williamson and Jeanna Williamson, both of the Providence Community near Brownsville, TN, Heather Williamson of Milan, TN, Briana Parrish of Medina, TN; two sons, Benjamin Anthony Browning of Bells, TN, Jared Hughes of Jackson, TN; two sisters, LaDonna Neilson of Jackson, TN, Shannon Matteson of Palmer, TX; and three grandchildren, Alyssa, Noah and Aleigha.
Casketbearers were family members and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Providence United Methodist Church or the Providence Cemetery Association, 10 Shaw Road, Jackson, TN 38301.
