Clyde Howard Lee

Clyde Howard Lee, age 87, resident of Somerville and husband of Dolly Smith Lee, departed this life Saturday morning, June 16, 2018 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lee were conducted at 3 P.M. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Kevin Treadway of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Clyde was born September 27, 1930 in Fayette County and attended the Rehobeth School. He was married November 8, 1952 to the former Dolly Smith and he was employed as a supervisor for the Department of Transportation before his retirement in 1987. Mr. Lee was a lifelong resident of the Somerville area and enjoyed carpentry, woodcraft, gardening and aviation.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dolly Smith Lee of Somerville, TN; three daughters, Debra Kaye Ozier (Hayne) of Spring Hill, TN, Jeannie Lee of Somerville, TN, Teresa Renay Lee Jones of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Lee and Minnie Crafton Lee; five sisters, Janie Lee, Ruby Lee Glover, Mollie Harris, Amy Nunnally, Minnie Winberry; and four brothers, Charlie Lee, Walter Lee, Fred Lee and Frank Lee.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Sam Jones, Rusty Dodd, Jonathan Ozier, Randy Glover, Steve Lee and Hank Olivas.
