CORNELIA LOUISE GLOVER (CONNIE) GRAVES, a resident of the Moscow Community and wife of G. Lee Graves died peacefully Thursday evening, February 11, 2010 at her residence. She was 60 years of age and died following a two-year illness.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Graves were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 13th at the Moscow United Methodist Church, where she was a devoted member, with Rev. Jim Griffith, Pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be private and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-Main Chapel of Somerville.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, Mrs. Graves was born July 3, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. Glover and her mother, Elizabeth Louise Culver Glover.
A Graduate of the University of South Alabama, Mrs. Graves previously resided in Las Vegas, Seattle, Washington and Collierville before moving to Fayette County four years ago.
A Sales Representative in the Wholesale Gift Industry for thirty-five years before her retirement, Mrs. Graves enjoyed traveling and scrapbooking.
She was married March 30, 1987 to G. Lee Graves, United States Veteran, who survives.
She was a member of the Friends of the Pink Palace Museum in Memphis and the Escapees R.V. Club.
In addition to her husband of twenty-three years, Mrs. Graves is survived by one sister, Farelia Fleming of Apex, NC and three nieces: Courtney Weber of Southaven, MS; Kellie Pierce of Portland, OR and Natalie O'Brien of Apex, NC.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Burriss of Moscow.
