Cyndi (Jones) Watson

Cynthia Marie "Cyndi" Jones Watson, resident of the Gallaway Community and wife of the late Dewey Allen Watson, departed this life Wednesday morning, July 9, 2014 at the Methodist Fayette Hospital in Somerville. She was 47 years of age and died unexpectedly.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Watson will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 19th at the First Baptist Church of Gallaway with visitation 30 minutes before services. Interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Watson was born October 4, 1966 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curby Bond Jones and Roseland Marie Turner Jones. She received her education in the Memphis City Public School System and was married May 24, 1985 to Dewey Allen Watson, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Mrs. Watson was a resident of the Gallaway Community for much of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gallaway. She was employed for the Kroger Company as a cashier before her retirement in 2006 for health reasons. She enjoyed special times with her family and friends, watching television programs and driving when she was physically able.

Mrs. Watson is survived by two sons, Charles Allen Watson, Sr. (Amy Marie) of Mason, Timothy Allen Watson of Gallaway; her maternal grandmother, Ruby Turner of Millington; her aunt, Caroline Eskridge of Millington; and five grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Gallaway Christian Academy at the First Baptist Church of Gallaway, 377 Main Street, Gallaway, TN 38036.
