Dallas Brooks Sprayberry, Jr.

Dallas Brooks "D.B." Sprayberry, Jr., age 86, resident of Memphis and owner of Sprayberry Service Company in Memphis departed this life Thursday morning, April 11, 2013 at the Spring Gate Health Care Center in Memphis.

Services for Mr. Sprayberry were at 11 Saturday morning at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Granville Watson of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Rehobeth Cemetery at Somerville.

Mr. Sprayberry was born February 2, 1927 in Miller County, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas B. Sprayberry, Sr. and Sally Lou Thompson Sprayberry. He received his education in the Tipton County Public School System and was married January 1, 1964 to the former Evelyn Kee. Mrs. Sprayberry preceded him in death on August 4, 2011.

Mr. Sprayberry was Baptist in faith and was the owner and operator of Sprayberry Service Company for 40 years before his retirement 15 years ago. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Sprayberry is survived by two daughters, Juanita Vaughn of Collierville, Vivian Vaughn of Dyersburg; two sons, Robert A. Sprayberry of Memphis, Mike Sprayberry of Covington; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha Adams, Orene Violet, Janice Ezell; and four brothers, Arthur Sprayberry, Buford Sprayberry, Barnell Sprayberry and Elton Sprayberry.
