Danny Ray Johnson

June 29, 1957 — March 10, 2014

Danny Ray Johnson, retired machine operator and husband of Jean Johnson, departed this life Monday morning, March 10, 2014 as a result of a two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 59 and Porter Road in Fayette County. He was 56 years of age.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Johnson will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, March 22nd at the East Acres Baptist Church in Millington. Interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Johnson was born June 29, 1957 in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry A. Johnson and Mildred E. Powers Johnson. He received his education in the West Memphis, Arkansas Public School System and was married April 20, 1987 to the former Jean Conner, who survives.  Mr. Johnson was employed in the construction industry as a machine operator for much of his life before retiring 13 years ago for health reasons. He was Baptist in faith.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Jean Johnson of West Memphis, Arkansas; two daughters, Kimberly McConnell of Brighton, Alisca Johnson of Dublin, Ohio; two sons, Daniel Ray Johnson of Drummonds, Danny Ray Johnson, Jr. of West Memphis, Arkansas; two sisters, Virginia Miller of Rossville, Patsy McCord of Blytheville, Arkansas; two brothers, Mike Johnson of West Memphis, Arkansas, Wayne Johnson of West Memphis, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Zoey Dunlavey, Dalton Myles and Zada McConnell.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the East Acres Baptist Church, 6904 Navy Road, Millington, TN 38053.
