Mr. Green was born in Somerville on November 7, 1944. He was the son of the late Ethel Thompson Green and the late George David Green who served as Fayette County Register for many years before his retirement.
David was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Fayette County High School. After his service in the Navy, Mr. Green had an interesting and variety of vocations. He was station manager and country music disk jockey for WBLK in Blakely, GA and also for WKRP in Dallas, GA. David is survived by his sister: Peggy Green Brightwell of Bartlett, TN and her son, Jeff of Memphis; his nieces: Cynthia Dianne Pruitt of Memphis, Sheryl Pruitt Miller (Charlie) and their children, Cory and Amanda of Horn Lake, MS.
