David Lee Hamm, age 69, resident of the Arlington Community and husband of Beverly Matheson Hamm, departed this life Friday evening, July 7, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
Services of Remembrance for David Hamm were conducted at 3 P.M. Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Boyce Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
David Hamm was born July 29, 1947 in Oakland, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Hamm and Sue Sayles Hamm Smith. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was married April 10, 1991 to the former Beverly Matheson. David Hamm was a painter for many years and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the ocean and watching wrestling and NASCAR.
David Hamm is survived by his wife of 26 years, Beverly Matheson Hamm of Arlington, TN; three daughters, Jamie Reinhardt (Lee) of Arlington, TN, Alyssa Hamm of Arlington, TN, Tiffany Chan of Memphis, TN; two sons, James Douglas Hamm of Calhoun, CA, Jefferson Deray Hamm (Lillian) of Burlison, TN; four sisters, Linda Harper (Gene) of Memphis, TN, Jackie Faye Muntz of Memphis, TN, Sheila Hamm of Memphis, TN, Marie Allen of Millington, TN; two brothers, Tommy Smith (Virginia) of Whiteville, TN, J.R. Smith of Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Breanna Muse, Nicole Sexton, Amy Sue Reinhardt, Lillie Hamm, J.D. Hamm, Kelsey Orr, Jaycee Orr, A.J. Adams, Avery Adams; and three great-grandchildren, Gabe Muse, Blaze Muse and Kaelynn Sexton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Melissa Muse, Stacy Ann Harrison; two sisters, Kathy Crunk, Brenda Edwards; and three brothers, Ray Hamm, Ricky Muntz and Freddie Muntz.
