David Calvin McDaniel, Sr.

David Calvin McDaniel, Sr., age 58, resident of Memphis, Tennessee and husband of Anne Pruett McDaniel, departed this life Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. McDaniel was held at 2 P.M. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Jeremy Arnold of Henderson, Tennessee officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. McDaniel was born April 24, 1959 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School Class of 1978 and was a lifelong resident of Memphis. He was employed as a truck operator at Mid South Transport for many years and was married December 13, 2003 to the former Anne Pruett. Mr. McDaniel was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golfing, football, NASCAR and traveling to the beach.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife of 14 years, Anne Pruett McDaniel of Memphis, TN; four daughters, Jackie Morgan (Billy) of Temple, TX, Katie Zinn (Alex) of Collierville, TN, Kellie Terrell of Collierville, TN, Jennifer Minor (John) of Somerville, TN; his son, David McDaniel, Jr. (Jerri) of Haughton, LA; his father, Gene McDaniel of Memphis, TN; his mother, June Clayton (Johnny) of Providence, KY; two sisters, Lisa Crawford (Pete) of Collierville, TN, Barbara Warren of Riverside, CA; his brother, Allen McDaniel of Mt. Vernon, IL; and ten grandchildren, Matthew McDaniel, Jacob McDaniel, Lily McDaniel, Heather Hill, Kaitlyn Morgan, Bradley Minor, Matt Matt Hill, Emma Morgan, Hayden McDaniel and Harley McDaniel.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Shelby County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 718 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103.
