David Harold Polk, age 56, resident of the Oakland Community, departed this life Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Polk were conducted at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, July 9th at the Revolution Church in Oakland. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Polk was born November 7, 1958 in Memphis, the son of the former Emma Sprayberry and the late Harold Polk. He received his education at Treadwell High School in Memphis and was of the Baptist faith. He was a resident of the Oakland Community and was self-employed in the home improvement industry. Mr. Polk enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, gardening and preparing food.
Mr. Polk is survived by two sons, Timothy Polk (Natoshia) of Titusville, Florida, Clayton Polk of Oxford, Mississippi; his mother, Emma Tinnen of Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Rachel Crossnoe (Bob) of Honolulu, Hawaii, Susan Potter of Memphis; and four grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
