David Glenn "Bubba" Voyles, age 51, resident of the Somerville Community and husband of Denise Duncan Voyles, departed this life Tuesday morning, February 3, 2015 at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Voyles were conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, February 7th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment followed in the Parks Chapel Cemetery in the District 15 Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Voyles was born June 21, 1963 in Somerville, the son of Ellen Marie Glover Voyles and the late Dalton Lee Voyles, Sr. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of Fayette County. He was married September 23, 1994 to the former Denise Duncan, who survives. Mr. Voyles was employed as a truck operator for C&D Farms in the District 15 Community for a number of years. He was a member of Parks Chapel Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 20 years, Mr. Voyles is survived by his daughter, Jessica Renee Voyles of Somerville; his son, Matthew Shane Voyles of Somerville; and his mother, Ellen Glover Voyles of Somerville.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mickey Gene Voyles and Dalton Lee Voyles, Jr.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Jeromy Voyles, Ronald Markle, Ray Markle, Michael Waddell, Andrew Heck, Danny Parker, Ricky Parker, Justin West, William Duncan and James Duncan.
